FIJI ISLANDS
IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PACIFIC
The Fiji Islands lie approximately halfway between Australia and the Hawaiian Islands in the middle of the South Pacific. The population of 80,000 live on 300 islands--not all inhabited -spread over an area of 200,000 square miles.

Fiji is one of the friendliest countries you will ever visit.
If the beauty of the scenery doesn't overwhelm you, the hospitality
of the people surely will. Bula (Hello how are you, welcome)
Vinaka ( Thank you, goodbye, you are welcome), these words
will follow you everywhere. Traditionally, Fijians
enjoy a communal way of life and friendly
mannerisms.

Welcome to your paradise !

CRUISE THE WORLD

People love cruising. Six million North Americans boarded U.S.-based cruise ships in 1999, and an astounding 90 percent report that they enjoyed their at-sea vacation as much as any they have taken on land. If movie theatres could claim such a statistic they would be full every night. If sports teams could do the same, there would be no gypsy franchises moving from town to town chasing municipal tax dollars and newly constructed stadiums. However, there is still a number that nags the industry: namely that only 10 percent of the total population have ever

taken a cruise and an awful lot of those don't see themselves as cruise people.

With more than 127 years cruising the world, Holland America knows what matters to experienced travellers. Warm attentive service, relaxed surroundings with an extra measure of personal space and a no tipping required policy. Aboard the 5-star fleet, you'll enjoy special touches like freshly popped popcorn at movies, fresh flowers everywhere and an extensive collection of commissioned art and intriguing antiques.

AUSTRALIA
The Blue Mountains is a captivating world of National Parks, spectacular scenery, awe inspiring vistas and the grandeur of ancient mountains that have remained unchanged since Jurassic era.

SNOWBIRD WINTER ESCAPE
MOUNT MAUNGANUI, NEW ZEALAND

Mt Maunganui is renowned for its beaches, fishing, diving, sailing, swimming, and surfing
as well as hang gliding, cycling and golf to name a few.

Out of the mists of morning and the days of legend, Maori mythology tells the story of three mountains in the foothills of the Kaimais. One was Puwhenua, a shapely bush clad maiden mountain who was in love with the lordly Otanewainuku who stood nearby.

But another mountain was also in love with Puwhenua and he strove to press his suit with her. When she asked his name he confessed he had no name and for this she spurned him in favour of Otanenwainuku. In his despair the nameless one sought the aid of the fairy folk to cast him into the ocean. That night they gathered and strove to drag him through the forest and foothills to the sea. His track through the land created Tauranga Harbour.

BALI, INDONESIA

If you are planning a trip to Bali in the near future be sure to include at least 3 nights on neighbouring Lombok Island, a short 20 minute flight or ferry ride away. Still relatively undiscovered by most tourists, Lombok's natural beauty and unhurried pace of life, reminiscent of what Bali was like 20-30 years ago, make it an ideal tropical getaway. Add to that low, low room rates at some very spectacular properties.

POOL VILLA CLUB

The Pool Villa Club, a 51/2 star resort, located on the grounds of the very popular Senggigi Beach Hotel, consists of 16 very stylish two-story villas located around a great river of a swimming pool (chemical free) that meanders around a centre island. The master bedroom on the second floor is exotic and very romantic. The king bed has a canopy of woven pineapple fibre and it has a full bathroom with tub and shower as well as a sitting area that opens out to a huge balcony
overlooking the pool.

The total area is 167 square metres and maximum occupancy is 6 people. Although designed with families in mind, the pool villas have become extremely popular with honeymooners.

In most parts of the world you would pay well over $1000.00USD per night for this kind of accommodation but on Lombok it can sometimes be as low as $229.00USD per night.
